:confused:I have a fx-55 oc 2.8 up from 2.6 I have ocz plat rev 2 400MHz up to 510MHz with 2.5-3-3-7 1T 2.85V. So myfsb is 255 my multipler is X11. I an using a A8N-SLI Premium mobo. I cant get my HT bus clost to 1000. i set to X4 in the bios and and it will go no faster than x3 (765HT) Could it be my tight mem timings? Voltage on ht bus? My system is

FX-55 @ 2.8
asus A8N-SLI Premium
OCZ PC3200 Platinum Rev 2 @ 510MHz
PC Power an cooling 510 watt turbo cool
7800gtx 256 @ 470core 125 mem
audigy 2zs platinum
thermaltake hardcano13 fan controller
thermaltake Armor case
one plextor PX-716AL
one Lite-on 1693s
I think thats it.

P.S. super pie to 2M in 71 sec. Should i worry about it at all? any help at all would be verry cool.

Once you go to 250mhz FSB, you have to use the 3x HTT multiplier. HTT tends to become unstable above 1000mhz, so you need to keep it at 1000mhz or less. It's been shown that lower HTT does NOT have any major performance impact. You are fine with 765mhz HT, and thats a very nice OC.

Redered,

AMD does not have a hard mod capable HTT,

and even though thoeretically HTT is supposed to get 40% higher.. I am not sure it is just stability issues near 1000, but it might be chipset related too.

Can you use a 12 multiplier? Get you up closer to 2.88 if you do the following...

drop your memory down to 240 or slighlty lower, wherever you can tighten up your timings just a little.. keep voltage the same.. and then I think with a 4X HTT you should be good to go...post your results back here, ok?

Thanks!
