what is the best option?
conserative tiling
non-aggressive tiling
semi-aggresive tiling
aggressive tiling

I am currently using a voodoo 3 3000 pci

The best in terms of perfomance would be Aggressive Tiling, but at the moment it's not playable. For me only Conservative Tiling is playable, and only if I cap the maximum fps to 40.

what do you mean playable?
i tried aggressive tiling and there was no performance gain at all in 3dmark and UT

Only works in OpenGL games and by playable we mean that there are no visual artifacts. Try Q3 and aggressive tiling and you will understand what we mean.

HSR = Hidden Surface Removal

Basically what ever you can't see on the screen (something behind a wall for example) is removed and the video card doesn't have to worry about it.

I know that there are HSR drivers for Vodoo, but are there such drivers for Nvidia cards?
