Since XP2200+ is about the worst choice for o/c'ing anything certified to cope with an XP2200+ should be more than sufficient. Anyway I'd rec a Volcano 9 myslef as being very effective, although Tom didn't test any Volcano HSF in his round up, which is pretty strange. Still he agreed with many other people that for a pretty powerful and pretty quiet solution the Alpha PAL8045 is very good indeed. Anyway here's some more links:

I always will say go with the Swiftech, especially the new MCX462+ which has a 0.5" copper base! Check out www.systemcooling.com review of it. Very good and beats the Alpha!

I just replaced my Arkua 7528 with the coolermaster HHC-001, the coolermaster is noticably louder and my XP1600+ @ 2100+ is only 1 degree C cooler with it, so I popped my Arkua 7528 back in. I may replace the Arkua's 80mm fan with a panaflo one day.

I put my Alpha Back in after doing some switching around with another puter I have. I am gonna get a better fan. Which panaflo is a great cooler with fairly low db?

What size ALPHA ?

If you can use an 80MM fan, the 46.9 CFM Panaflo with 38.2 dB is good, little less volume and slightly quieter is the 39.6 CFM @ 32 dB.
Look to get a 3-pin wire harness for connection direct to motherboard. Smaller fan and wires are available from HeatsinkFactory.

60MM fans move low volumes of air at high RPM not too good.

Consider th YS Tech 80MM manual adjustable range of 800 RPM to 3,700 RPM, 10.2 CFM to 48.7 CFM, & 18dB to 39.5 dB

Any volume over 36 CFM and dB below 40dB should be fine.
Set up fan to extract heat out instead of blowing down into heatsink will eject heat from case quickly, as
rear case fan is usuallu adjacent to CPU heatsink area.
