HSF that will fit a GA-EP45-UD3R

I'm looking for something to replace the stock intel HSF. It needs to fit my mobo ( Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R)

QUIET is the key. Only plan on moderate OCing.

Thanks

TRUE fits on the EP45-UD3P no problem, so look for something with similar clearance. The NB cooler doesn't seem to be a problem.

Xigmatek S1283, OCZ VEND2, or Sunbeam CCF will all clear, and even running passive will handle a mild overclock well if you have decent case airflow

I got a TRUE black on a UD3R and a Vendetta 2 on a UD3P. The cooling from the vendetta 2 is pretty close to the TRUE but it is not a user friendly heatsink for installation. I somehow managed to install the fan backwards the first time and having to turn it around is more or less impossible without taking the motherboard out of the case. Even then its a bit of a hassle and you feel like your going to break it since you have to use pliars to pull rubber stoppers.

Of course, the TRUE cost me ~70 and the vendetta 2 $30.

I used a tuniq tower 120 on my UD3R - it almost fits 😉, I just had to dremel off two bits off of the I-bracket (bits that stuck out for screw holes not used on the intel boards).

very very quiet - moderate oc (400fsb, e8600). the fan is on mobo control, almost never nudges off of low (only on heavy load) - the mobo kicks up the speed when the cpu starts to cross 50C. idle in the low 30s, iirc.
