I wouldn't use my GC-68 on a 2000+. I don't even use it on my 1600+. It does have an 80mm fan, but a lot of the fan's airflow only goes through the fringes of the heatsink because of its shape. For the record, the SK-7/YSTech combo I suggested is an 80mm setup, and so is the SLK-800. Both of them should whup on a GC-68, performance-wise, and that means you can lower the airflow (or raise the overclock).Originally posted by: JaRb0y
i know the svc gc68 isnt as high quality as the sk7 or ax7 but can it handle a 2000+ xp overclock? maybe a different fan? i like the fact that it has an 80 mm fan.
I use a GC68 on my XP2000 without any problems at all. Just use artic silver and you will be just fine on temps. I've seen 55 max on my computer and thats pretty good IMHO.Originally posted by: mechBgon
