HSF for Athlon

bigrash

Does anyone know of a good and quiet hsf for an athlon thunderbird 1GHz with an ASUS A7V motherboard?

yeah fop 32-1 works great...keeping my 1.3Ghz down to 32C idle, and with my case open at full load on cpu only goes up to 48C. Just make sure you install the HSF with artic silver, and with no dirt or fingerprints on the die.

hey thanks guys....I noticed that 2cooltek had it for $20.00. is that the lowest price around, or does someone know where to buy it for cheaper

Silverado by Noise Control
over at toms hardware. they just did a review
this thing sounds like it could be really great!
i want one!

the silverado's are great but 70+ for a hsf isn't for everyone. 🙂

i like the taisol cgk742092. 🙂

I read some positive reviews about the new Thermaltake Volcano II. It performs good and is quiet. Suggested price is $20. I'm sure you can find one cheaper on pricewatch.

Volcano II's doing the trick for my PPGA Celeron - about 40 C at 2.8V . Reviews done on T-birds have been positive. Fan is quiet. Clip is nice - slot the screwdriver and tug. About $20 shipped with tax to CA.
