HSF advice

Hello.
So before i go out and get an non-stock HSF, i want some input from you fine scholars!!!
I want to get a good HSF for my 939 AMD 4800+ dual core CPU. I havent had any real heat problems in the past. I dont overclock. But i have heard that AMD runs a little hot, and this board runs hot (maybe cuz of the passive cooling or whatever).

So i was thinking about getting a good HSF for my CPU before i let any smoke out.

All your suggestions are welcomed. i have a LAN party this weekend so i plan on doing lots of gaming, and since im the only dual core at the party, ill be running the servers (i can anticipate this happening). and i'd like to get a good HSF before the even.

Thank you!

I really liked my Zalman CNPS9500 while I had it! Kept my overclocked 3200+ @ 2.5GHz (1.5v) cool all the time... load temperatures never went over 40c

CPU cooling is always a trade off between noise and performance so in order to give a good answer we would need to know your preference.

Also there is a "Cases & Cooling" forum for questions like these, just for future reference.

thermaltake's big typhoon or the Blue orb 2 would be my suggestion. I run the big typhoon and my proc stays super cool, depends on what case you have though, because that thing is BIIIIIIIG.
