This is more just an informational post than anything. I bought a Tilt in the fall of 2008. I used KaiserTweak to enable HSDPA and it has been working perfectly until this month. I'm not sure if AT&T has done something to their network in my area (Columbus, OH) but my data connection has been horribly unreliable for the past four months. I thought that something was wrong with my phone. Web pages wouldn't load, email wouldn't download, etc.
I benchmarked my download speed this morning and even though I was connected with 4 bars of service to HSDPA (or 3G) my speed was about 100 kbps download. It seemed like EDGE, but it was not nearly as reliable as EDGE. This afternoon I stumbled upon disabling HSDPA and after a reboot my download speed is back to 1.7 mbps (max). Connections are once again reliable.
