kids need to be creative like dismantling a 1978 vw and putting it on the roof not breaking in and using an air compressor.

Breaking and Entering. They should be allowed to graduate but not without some 30 or so hours of community service.

Punishment for pranks at school is out of control. A guy I work with had to get a lawyer to try and keep his son out of jail. He is being charged with several things including inciting terror and panic and something to do with terrorist weapons. His crime. A friend of his..not him threw a stinkbomb. Friend figures it will get all thrown out but its a major mess.

If you're going to risk a prank you need to be willing to suffer the consequences if caught. Last I heard breaking and entering is a crime.

I was kinda wondering about that too, I thought it was fine for the 18 year olds to be in the paper but not the 17 y/o

That was a pretty serious over reaction from the school. Their prank was totally harmless compared to some of the ones other people have tried to pull or did pull off. Sux for them.

How was it an over reaction when they were caught/admitted to breaking and entering the school?

Harmless or not, B&E is illegal.

If I were to B&E into your home, and pull a prank would you say "Oh, it's just a harmless prank"?

The story just said they entered the building (apparently didn't break in).
They are charged with disorderly conduct.

Terrible comparison. It's a HS prank, something that's done EVERY year by students. Not some random people that just decided to break in. How do you think HS pranks are done? They get invited in during closed hours? You have to get in somehow.

To your question: If you were a friend, didn't actually break or ruin anything, and its something that's done often, then yes.

i feel bad for them. it was a harmless prank, and while it warrants some punishment it didn't warrant being wiped out of graduation like they never existed.
school officials are on a power trip.

yah considering there wasn't any vandilism...they should've gotten a slap on the wrist and made to clean up whatever they did.

some sort of senior prank is usually tradition at most highschools..


maybe i'm just biased b/c i'm young.
