I've formulated up quite a lengthy list over the years to weed out the weak so we can focus on strengthening our species & minimizing the severity of this overpopulation.
I have also included myself amongst list. Unfortunately there's no legal Kevorkian clinics nearby to partake in that cause.

There used to be this thing called natural selection, but modern medicine interfered.

There is no overpopulation. This is all in your head.
Our species is no longer interested in chasing down gazelle in the savanna. Our specie is now strengthened by having intelligent people invent useful gadgets that do things like let us harvest crops faster, or grow more food per square mile of land.

And building electric scooters for people who are too fat to walk.

Until the next airborne pathogen comes along and kills millions of people because there is no vaccine and we have no natural antibodies.

Vaccines build natural antibodies the same way that exposure to sick people do. We are not doing an end around our natural defense systems with vaccines, but just forcing ourselves to be exposed to viruses in a controlled manner so that our natural defense system has the best possible chance of winning against them.

Would rather not turn this into a vaccine thread.

The opening post is a parody.

A lot of people figure me a jerk for this view. I've felt that people positively diagnosed with STD's, especially more serious shit like AID's/HIV should be euthanized to prevent it spreading more. We already have enough shit out there tainting our genetics.
My uncle was diagnosed with aid's about 10 years ago. Despite him being an alright guy, this doesn't change my view.
He's always in/out the hospital. Nobody will be surprised when he finally kicks the bucket.

lets start you volunteering to remove your awful genes from the gene pool

Euthanised? No. Banned from creating children? Yes please. Spreading a STD to a newborn through no fault of its own is disgustingly unethical no matter what angle you view it from.

How would you enforce that?

What about people that don't know they are carrying a STD? Only about 1 in 4 people infected with herpes show physical symptoms. Most people that don't have a physical outbreak do not know they are carrying.

How many people regularly test themselves for the full range of STDs?

We still have time to correct that, just vote Republican.

Rick Perry, Republican governor of Texas, mandated the use of the HPV vaccine for girls.

personally, I would have had more respect for him if he stood by that decision instead of folding in the face of controversy.

i believe in mandated vaccines with an opt-out.

No way, attractiveness, ability to make money, and general health etc. are all selected upon heavily.

Smarts not so much IMO. Better to be lucky, than smart.

There are always outliers, and as you said he was forced to fold because his party as a whole came down on him for it.

Also, it doesn't sound like much of a mandate if you can opt out, especially since vaccines rely on community immunity. When you also factor in local immunization rates (i.e., in the daycares of conservative churches instead of averaging across the entire nation) it is easy to see why opt-outs result in outbreaks. It would be one thing if we could let natural selection weed out the dumbasses, but not only is that unfair to their children, their stupidity is getting other people killed and maimed.
