HPT370 Raid controller and Windows 2000 problem

I just got the Biostar M7MIA motherboard in the deal from TCWO. The board has a Highpoint HPT370 chip on it. I'm trying a fresh install of Windows 2000. The manual says to copy the HPT drivers to a floppy and then hit F6 at the beginning of Win2k install to setup raid drivers. I tried this and the install crashed with a message saying HPTxxNT.sys had an unexpected error (error #512?). Tried a few times more with the same result. Downloaded the latest drivers from highpoint-tech.com and still have the same problem. Has anyone seen this problem or been able to install this without errors?

Thanks,
avhokie
