HP W2207H 22-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor

TN. I have the 24" one, which is beautiful. The reflective screen makes the color vivid and the text sharp, although the reflection can be distracting at times. Viewing angle is typical for TN panels. $180 is a good price (refurbished/rebranded ones sell for $160 incl. shipping and 90-day warranty).

I have this monitor and it is very nice. Thinking of getting one for my dad. His old 19" CRT is looking pretty ratty.

Eh this price is average at best. You can get 20" TNs now for $100, Fry's had that going on last week. $400 for a TN is a ripoff when I bought my 24" P-MVA for $300.

What does $400 have to do with this deal?

This is a good price for a very highly rated and quality LCD, even if it's TN.

My bad. The link shows the monitor ships from J&R Music and Computer World with $26 shipping. It does appear to be available from Amazon itself though with free super saver shipping. I guess you just have to watch which one you add to the cart as the one from J&R is displayed more prominently.

You're right....last week's deal at a B&M Fry's store has nothing to do with this week's pricing at all.....and nowhere can you find a 20" LCD for $100 at Fry's this week.

Good deal on this HP monitor......much better than the $100 19" LCDs out there (AOC, Acer)....better quality, better picture, more value for your $$ spent. The cheapest option isn't always the best............

The only problem with ordering it from Amazon.com with the free shipping is that is says it "Usually ships in 1 to 2 months." :frown:

Yeah J&R seems to be out, so Amazon is the only option. Also, bear in mind that this thing has a rather large footprint.

I'm in no hurry so waiting isn't a problem. It also gives me the option to cancel if I find a better deal here in the next few weeks.

Another nice thing about it is that it's Energy Star Qualified, so you can game on it all day and night and not worry about burning a hole in the ozone.

not a selling point for me. I buy carbon credits from my wife. She does the whole conserving/recycling crap. I'm more concerned about panels.

i think all lcd's are energy star qualified.. but shrug ok.. was goign to buy one but not sure if 1 year warranty is enough for me.. also see 24" for 240 with 3 year warranty so much to decide on..

Please explain how using electricity releases CFC into the atmosphere? 😕

You can do the research if you are that interested in the far side of my jest. I will however provide the following marketing blurb on Energy Star compliant devices.

"Products that earn the ENERGY STAR prevent greenhouse gas emissions by meeting strict energy-efficiency guidelines set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy. ENERGY STAR makes it easy for you to choose products that not only save you money, but help the environment by preventing greenhouse gases associated with global warming--all this without sacrificing the quality that you expect from these products."

I believe global warming is at best a lukewarm deal at present and therefore doesn't merit extensive discussion in this forum; however, it's definitely getting hotter.
