I placed an order a few minutes ago and already received a conformation email.
Found my order # from the OnSale/Amazon cancellation email.
 
Just like last time, it's doubtful they can fulfill all requests again. The early bird gets the worm. It started ~5PM PST.
 
I placed my onsale order through Amazon and was worried that the Amazon order number wouldn't work, but it did. I have a confirmation number, now I just hope I actually get a touchpad.

Now that they are limiting it to one per customer, they *should* know exacty how many units they could potentially sell this time around. I'll be *really* ticked if I don't get one.
 
Last night the people at slickdeals were getting them from gtsi.com. I didn't bother because it requires you be affiliated with a govt. agency, and since I'm not I figured it would just get cancelled.

These things keep popping up in random places though, so it's still possible to find one if you check occasionally.
 
I clicked on my one-time use link, entered all my information, and decided I didn't need another one. My brother wants one and I have a possible source for that Touchpad which I think is more reliable.

Saw the thread in SD last night, used the Onsale link, entered my cancelled order number (from 8/21 thru Amazon marketplace), got the new order link from Onsale (around 7pm), read that the site was really slow so I didn't do anything until this morning, used the link to order (around 8am), and got my new order number from Onsale in the email. :awe:

Let see if Onsale will come thru this time. Crossing my fingers.

I think you need to use the exact # format of your canceled order thru amazon....Example 123-9874561-4561236 you need the -'s

You can find the order number under your amazon account if you deleted the emails. Look for the leave feadback option and you should see your canceled order(s) Going into the original order I figured it would get canceled. I didn't leave any feedback then....If they cancel this order also then I'll have to express my opinion of them 🙂

Figured I'd give them another shot. Email link came quickly and the order was quick and easy. Looks like I'm just a tad over the 1000th person to order again....Looks to be using a special order number system for the deal ???

Thanks! Originally I only ordered the 16GB from them (through Amazon) but I will take the 32GB. I can't pry the one I got at Best Buy out of my husband's clutches long enough to do anything with it myself, so this one will be for me.

That's cold. Hope that person doesn't want it still. (though that's pretty dumb to post it on the web) Slick Deals are also posting random cancellation numbers, and people are just incrementing the numbers and submitting them.

[edit] actually, don't you need a the person's email address to match the order number? Either way I guess it doesn't matter, SD posted this at 5:30 last night and the thread is already 100 pages long, so I'm sure they are long gone by now.

It's funny how a month later and people are still stabbing each other in the back for these things.

There was a comment in SD I lol'ed at:

The email address is where they send you the unique link to order. Some guy on slickdeals posted his order # and his email address while the site was getting hammered. So they would do his dirty work for him lol.
 
Looking for a trend in order number system for this Not sure but order number looks to be funky to me. Maybe its possible to see your place in line for this? I'm thinking the Touchpad orders number system is seperate form the onSale other orders and are all gonna be F700xxxx something.

Mine is F70010xx last two are numbers 🙂

But on another note it doesn't look like the order numbers have jumped by an astronomical amount from last night to today....Hmmm
