received both of mine today.

after reading people's opinions on em, doubt I will keep em and probably sell em to pay a little extra towards my bahamas trip in december. was going to keep one for me and one for the wife, but probably not now.

I hear mostly glowing reviews after you do the updates and overclock. It's supposed to be one of the best performing tabs on the market once you fix what HP messed up.

Can't wait to get mine tomorrow. I'm damn sure not going to base the fact if I keep it or not based upon "what people's opinions are". That's sad.

I really like my 32GB, after updates, fixes, and OC. It's a speedy little thing, if not quite so responsive as my iPad2. It'll make a nice little media server for my car.

well considering that is not the only other factor, like how my job will reimburse me up to $500/yr on a tech purchase in november, I may just spend $500 on a nicer tablet and get reimbursed for that, instead of this one that is inferior.

after using iOS for a bit, choppiness on tabs/phones really bothers me.

eh, to each their own.

Going through all the update gyrations now... Kind of annoying really, using WebOS doctor isn't even easy with me running a Lion Mac.

Now the hunt is on for a Touchstone Dock Charger. I wonder if I should believe the Office Depot employee that took 15 minutes to answer the phone. :hmm:

Did you check your local BB?

I managed to snag one this afternoon when they went back up on BB.com.

Nope. I can never get it to let me access the online checker to even see, and I didn't think of calling them. I'll have to give them a call tomorrow morning. Wal-Mart had it in stock, but they don't price match their online store, which was selling them for $35. :\

BB also have a 3/15% 4/20% off sale, include all the discounted hp stuff along with a bunch of other miscellaneous stuff.

crap, Hulu started blocking the Touchpad today - a casualty of its own success. On a brighter note, I overclocked my Touchpad and tweaked it to disable all logging, and it is BLAZING!

Yeah at 1.5 it is fast. I read up about 1.7, and saw some post basically saying you must give your life to OC to 1.7 and use the alpha kernel...I said hahaha flip off 1.5 is plenty fast. When 2.0 is hit...I'd be :cool:

Regardless, other than being fast, it's a shit OS. Can't even set a homepage on the browser WTF!

Does the touchpad have gps?
Unfortunately not. It, like most WiFi-only devices, does not have GPS. GPS only makes sense on devices with cellular data connections since it allows for A-GPS which is many times faster.

the type anything use to be awesome when I had the actual keyboard. I guess it's still decent to implement it, but it's not NEARLY as functional as with an actual keyboard!

I constantly find myself launching the app, instead of "just type". On my pre, before I start to pull out my phone from my pocket, I almost have the name all typed out and ready to go!

Yeah, I used "just type" once, just to check it out. It might save a swipe and a tap, but I keep forgetting about it.

And I long to have a widget or two. :D

I stopped at BB after work yesterday, kid said a shimpment of about 25 came in earlier in the day, but they were all gone. From the looks of it most of them went to employees; they were all standing around in the computer department showing each other their new Touchpads. Oh well.

I just stopped in at my local Best Buy after work, and they were standing in the way back selling the few they had in stock. I was really lucky because it looked like they only had about 10-15 left. If I would have left any later from work yesterday, I might not have got one.

Every single Best Buy I've checked around here (MD) has none in stock, and they all say they won't be receiving anymore shipments either. :\
