Thanks Raspuninj.
And thanks AnonymouseUser for the link that you supplied. I have a heck of a time finding these on Google. I wish more people would do this.

can't get the instore price to $149? It is still at $178 for me even when choosing instore pickup.

EF9 there is a $30 rebate and a $20 one as well.

Just giving you guys a heads up...

The HP 2175 is being discontinued if I remember correctly. Reason being? HP is unveling a new line of multifunction printers that utilize their less ink-efficient cartridges (the HP 94, 95, 96, 97). For instance, the "Large" HP 96 black cartridge ($30) has 21ml of ink versus the HP 56 black cartridge ($20) that the older HP 2175 uses which has 19ml of ink.

Oh, I was looking for a $50 rebate and didnt realize there are 2 rebates. I would get this if it was still going for $69 + filler.

the psc 2175 is an awesome printer....i got one and i think we paid like $199 for it. Great photo-quality, also has a card-reader for all kinds of CF/SD memory cards. (No more stupid canon software needed for reading my cards 🙂 Only quirk is that the ink cartridges are rather expensive.

The funny thing is, this is the only piece of hardware my wife bought totally on her own, she came home with that printer one day and i thought "Holy cow..why the hell did you buy that....all the features....who needs it ? Waste of money..blah blah..." [i didnt TELL her that of course 🙂 ]
Besides i was worried because *I* usually spend weeks researching *before* i buy any parts for my computer.

Turns out this printer is one of the best purchases we ever made - and the reviews are raving about it too.

If you can get this printer w/ that deal i'd definetly get it...

Actually the new cartridges are more ink efficient. Even though they have less in in them for the money, they've found a way to make them work better. They use stuff like a larger swath, double the amount of nozzles, smaller droplets. The 94 and 95 are the new standard size carts, the 94 black gives the same amount of pages per cart as the 56, and is the same price; the 95 color gives about 2/3 the pages per cart as the 57, but is $10 less. The "Large" 96 black and 97 carts are better deals than the old 56/57s. The 96 is rated @ 850 pages, twice that of the 56 and is still under $30, and the 97 gives about 1/3 more color pages per cart than the 57, and is the same price. Plus these new "Vivera" inks give up to 80 years of colorfastness with 3 and 4 ink printing, and almost 125 years with 6 and 8 ink printing. All together the new printers are a better deal. Oh, and by the way, the printer that's replacing the 2175 is the 2355, it takes all 9 memory cards, has PictBridge support, a color screen, and is about 2/3 the size of the 2175.

But for $69 you can't beat that... 😉

Hey, OJ, I just now tried it and--like nitsug3850--all I see is an initial price of $178 and change. Is that what you started with, or did you see the $149 from the outset? Thanks.

OK, I answered my own dumb question: the printer appears at $178+ when you first see it; but drops to $148+ as soon as it's added to your cart and the in-store pickup option is selected. DOH!

(Go for it, nitsug3850!!!)

hahnkim:
I added the printer and clicked in store pickup, and the price stays at 178. Any ideas?
Yes--I think you have to register and log in as a registered user--THEN when you add it to your cart and click and choose in-store pickup the discount should appear. That's probably your missing step.
