I LOVE mine! It's certainly not the fastest device I own, but the battery life is really good, the screen beautiful and the condition and build quality excellent.

It came with 1903, so I made a USB installer and freshly installed 1909, flashed the newer BIOS from HP and all the other drivers were installed automatically. I looked at the drivers on the HP website but all seem older than what Windows put on there...

The speakers are not great, but Bluetooth works perfectly and the 3.5mm out sounds great.

Now if only someone uncovered a hidden cache of active styluses for these......

Mine DL the bios install file to my DL folder, I ran it, it wanted to reboot, and then it installed it. No USB drvie required.

No, I updated the BIOS right from the Windows updater. It rebooted, did its thing (took much longer than most BIOS updates!), restarted again and bingo.

The USB installer was just for a clean Windows install..

Thanks. Unless the seller comes back with something, this is going to have to go back as I don;t have the BIOS password. I also think the BIOS is locked down to prevent boot from USB. Very disappointing.

I switched mine to PC mode from Tablet mode and it runs so much better. Using a Bluetooth Keyboard and mouse works Great too. Fun little toy.

This is not a bad idea as mentioned above. I got one for fun. They have more than one.

Pros: Ever since my Lenovo 8 inch tablet died, I've been looking for a PC replacement. Paired with an available keyboard/folio and a generic docking strip, I have a complete mobile PC.
Cons: The battery doesn't last forever, but good enough... It isn't a rocket ship, but there again, good enough. Do not update the BIOS to the latest build... you'll lose the ability to add a docking station. Stick to the one it came with.
Overall Review: If you're looking for a small form factor Windows PC to be mobile, you can't go wrong with this tablet... If you're looking for a gaming tablet, look else where. With a 64 Gig hard drive and 4 Gigs of RAM, this is very capable for general computing. Paired with another 64 Gigs of SD card, it should be good for a wide range of people.
After trying an HP Executive Pen and failing, I reached out to HP and they said the only pen that works with this device is the HP Pro 608 Active Pen, p/n N9D47AA... Good luck finding one.

Note that the $75 item doesn't come with a power adapter. Factory power adapter is 3A / 15W with a USB-C connector. You will probably also want to buy a USB-C OTG cable so that you can connect USB flash drives, USB dongles for keyboards and mice, etc.

I booted to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS from a USB drive and used the "Try Ubuntu" option. It worked as a tiny laptop. Wifi, touch, and audio seem to work fine but testing is limited. I don't use Ubuntu often so I am not sure if there is a tablet mode of some sort but I didn't test that. So running form the USB, it works but I do not know what the experience would be installed. It actually feels pretty fast but multi-touch didn't seem to be a thing. Its not a bad deal regardless even if you end up stuck with a Windows 10 tablet. Just be sure to check that the BIOS isn't locked as these are off-lease and probably came out of corporate environments where they locked things down.
