Yah, they're open to stuff. It was just that was the best I could find. Thanks for pointing that out. That one looks good. The 5770 isn't great, but its better then a 5570.

Any feedback on that one?

I'm not sure whats going on with that. Because in the name is 512MB. But further down in the description and in the specs its listed as 1GB. So I'm not really sure whats going on.

The two available memory slots was kind of a let down, but I don't see my self upgrading beyond 4gb any time soon.

The power supply is listed as 700, do you think its a cheap one that could possibly have something go horribly wrong with it?

It's iBuyPower, so yeah it is probably a fairly cheap PSU. I almost certainly cannot put out 700W, but that system shouldn't draw anything close to that.

^ Yes, peak load is probably less than half that 700W, so not a problem that the PSU is certainly not a True 700W.

Yah, I assumed as much. But its not going to blow up or anything and fry the components? Assuming I don't draw too much power.

Foxconn motherboard (the HP I got have a remote, so why not this one?)

Holy Cow! That's an amazing motherboard. Especially for $95! Too bad for me it's AMD. If FoxConn made the same board with an Intel chipset I'd be all over it.

All four of my primary desktops include Foxconn motherboards and they've all been bargains and have functioned perfectly. (Well, I did have a strange failure on one board an hour after I installed it, but the replacement has functioned perfectly.)

Question. Would the hexacore help or hurt general usage. The idea of six cores grabbed me at first. I mean look at all those cores! But after doing a little reading, it seems like hexacores are more suited for video related work. The computer would be used to light usage and mild gaming. I can't see six cores being advantageous. Wouldn't a quad or dual be better?

The 2 extra cores would not hurt you directly. The reason that I recommend a quad for gaming is that the quads are generally higher-clocked for the same or less money than the hex cores. The clocks help out a lot more than the extra cores for gaming.

PS. I would not go for a dual core in your price range.

^ Agree that Phenom II X4 is more usually recommended for an AMD gaming rig with a good-sized budget. The higher clock speed + 4cores is a good combination for games.

X6 is attractive because the exotic higher number of cores, and is still a solid choice if you can find it for a competitive price.

That i5 build looks great :D The only thing I don't like about it is, once again, the two available memory slots. I could probably live with this though :p

It is a much better option. If you have a problem with how many memory slots you have you can always get a different motherboard, or 4GB sticks to get 8GB. You may be more comfortable with computer hardware in the future.

This is true. Like I said earlier, I don't see my self upgrading the RAM any time soon. I think this is the one!

My parents would rather not ordering. After browsing the BestBuy flyer (again) I've come across this acer model.
i7 870
4gb RAM
GT 320 :(

That graphic card is pretty crappy isn't it?

It's an entry-level card, so OK for multimedia but not for games. The 57x0 cards you were looking at earlier in the thread are far, far better for gaming.

Have you told your parents they are being completely retarded? Just wondering...
