I just left BestBuy B&M at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA.

I picked up an HP PhotoSmart P1100 - for $79

There are about 10 left for anyone who can make it there. Good luck.

Nice price, saw a lot of places having sales on their photosmarts, I don't think anybody advertised that low though. 😀

Awesome, I bought this back in January it is a very nice printer. Especially for $79 I hope they have one left at my local BB. 😉

Edit/ Checked local BB no stock. 🙁 Most definately worth a look though.

Thanks

oh mah gosh. this is the p1100. not the 1000!!!!
whoa.. i didn't catch that the first time!

... :Q

is there another BB INSIDE southcoast plaza? i went to the metro pointe.. or whatever it's called. its near southcoast
anyway. i went there, and there wasn't any. i asked around and they told me they don't even carry the p1100.
was this a joke?

Sorry I don't think I gave you the most accurate information... I didn't realize it but it looks like they were mismarked as "open box" items.

They were, however not open box items, they were brand new. I asked no questions because I didn't want to stir up a commotion.

After all, most of the BB employees have no idea what's in the "open box" inventory at any given time.

If you went and they were not there, I would be willing to bet that the other 10 were picked up by people just like me who shut their mouths, paid their $79 + tax and got the hell out. The employees probably had no idea they were even there.

<< Holly Batman....................Awsome price. Where's my Batmobile when I need it. >>

Remember, you let me borrow it for all the Black Friday sales...😉

I stopped by to investigate this deal. They didn't have the P1100, only the P1000 and the P1115. They had one P1000 left, the shelf model, and I talked to the manager about it. It was marked at $179.99. He said he would sell it for $140: $110, plus the $30 3-year warranty plan. (He didn't have a manual or driver disk for it.) I was thinking about it, trying to decide between this printer and the Canon S600 for $150. I decided to go with the HP because of the service plan. I asked if he could scan the price, because "a friend" of mine had picked one up on clearance for $79. (I was actually spacing and thinking it was the P1000 fragged mentioned in this thread.)

He went ahead and changed the price to $79.99, so I ended up walking out with the Photosmart P1000 for $110 or so, w/ a 3 year warranty, etc. (The warranty was part of the deal he cut, so I couldn't exactly turn it down, and considering the luck I've had with printers, it is a good idea.)

Anyone know the best deal for ink on this bad boy?

Thanks Qpid. I may end up doing that - I need to investigate what the extended warranty coverage is on my Amex Blue I used toi purchase it. $80 is an even better deal than $110. 🙂

Well, the one I've seen isn't as hot as the one listed here of course, but Costco has this same printer for $179 (saw it here in San Antonio, don't know if it's national). I work as a rep for HP, and the difference in the 1100 than the 1000 for people that don't know already is the 1100 comes pre-packaged with the duplex printing accessory, while the 1000 would require an $80 duplex unit.

Just thought it'd make a good mention. Best Buy (while I hate them as a former employee) does always have some nice clearance deals somewhere in the country. Too bad it's just never where "you" are. LOL!

Good find, thanks for the thread.

Johnny - it's not a big deal, but do you know of anywhere to get the duplex unit for less than through HP directly? Even through an office store I may be able to apply a coupon. It's probably not worth it to me, but it could be in the future.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you could, that's actually the cost at CompUSA (I was just there). I'm not sure if any other office supply stores currently have any.
