HP Pavillion - processor replacement question

How easy is it to open and replace an Intel Celeron Processor (sitting inside a HP Pavillion stock PC) with a new higher power AMD/Intel processor? Do I have to look into motherboard compatibility issue?

What are other caveats?

Thanks,
Neil.

pretty easy if you know how to do it...just take out the fan, drop the processor in and mount the fan back on...make sure your motherboard is compatible with newer processors before doing so...
