I'm thinking about getting the HP Officejet Pre 800, but read on newegg in the reviews this line,
"Also remember that HP products use a date chip on the ink cartridges that prevents printing after expiration."
WTF?!
Does anyone know what the expiration date would be?
This printer comes with enough ink for 1000 pages. That would probably last me 5 years. I'll stick with my Samsung if expiration is too soon.

Thanks

Inks that expire with no override (meaning when it expires, it can't be used at all): HP 10-14

The Officejet Pro 8000 uses the 940XL, which according to HP, carries no expiration date. There's only a few models that have an expiration where you can't override. I have a printer with the "expires but override" scenario. Not a big deal.
