You know, I think Hulu still works on the TouchPad. Now that it's EOL Hulu may not even take the time to block it. Hmmm.....

Dead tech/WebOS, barely any apps available, no expansion slot, cannot root. What I am missing? I'll wait till other tablets that are still supported go on sale. Had the chance to buy one at a local B&M but passed. Costco had a pallet full of the empty boxes+case, but had a DNI (Do Not Inventory) sticker on it. Did not inquire what the price would be, had a tag of $449.50.

What do you mean cannot root? There is a way to root it, and there are already devs working on getting Gingerbread loaded.

OK now that I see the video. I don't find it funny. Not in an "I'm offended" way, but it just isn't funny. What does the video have to do with HP exiting the tablet business? Or are they using all Indian programmers now?

That hacked video was not supposed to be funny. It was a jab at HP for using so much cheap offshore labor. Hurd the Turd laid off a lot of good people in the US during his reign.

I just picked a 32gb up this morning. It's quite nice. Full fledged web browser, not loading lame mobile versions. YouTube and hulu are pretty flawless. Selling my nook color now and this basically was a free upgrade for me.

I want to buy one, but all the parasites have swarmed, bought them all, and are now trying to flip them on CL for twice the price or more.

Yeah, sucks. Pretty much no one I was talking to today was looking to do that, everyone just wanted a tablet for below 200 dollars. I'll be honest, it is really nice so far. I made that last post on it, this is from my PC. Buddy of mine is playing with it right now deciding if he should keep his or trade for a used ipad2.

lol saw a commercial for them on TV today. You'd think they would have discontinued all advertising. What's the point of advertising a product you wont even make anymore? Guess they just want to get rid of what they have left.

Already paid for the contract probably. With the number of ads for the TOuchpad I've seen, must have been "si hueg". Even if they pulled them all, the TV channels might have trouble filling the space with whatever spare adspace they have. My guess.
