HP Netserver E 800 - RAID 0?

So my boss just gave me an old server with dual 1GHz P3's and 1GB of RAM that he used to use up until about 2 years ago. It had Win2k Server on it in RAID 5 over 4 18.2GB SCSI HD's.

I'm admittedly new to all of this and RAID / SCSI is a bit intimidating to me. I managed to format all the drives and place them in RAID 0, loaded XP Pro on that drive and it showed only one local disk in "My Computer" totaling the combined volume of all the drives. So I thought that was way to easy........and it was. I ran a few HD benchmarks and it does a whopping 33MB/sec burst speed in HD Tach. What gives? All I used to hear about is how fast SCSI is in RAID so I'm sure I configured something improperly. I"m formatting each drive now with the intention to start over again so I'm open to any and all suggestions. Why is this so slow? What should all the settings be? I have a million options for 8k, 16k, 32k, 64k (this is where it?s set) and tons of other goodies I have no clue how to use.

Thanks in advance for any and all of your help,

-B
