HP LaserJet 4200 Printing Slowly

I'm trying to find out why an HP LaserJet 4200 printer would print several times slower than the two other LaserJet 4200 printers at the same office. I tried reinstalling the printer driver and setting the 4200 back to the factory default settings. All of the 4200's are attached by parallel cable to Pentium 4 Dell computers running XP Pro. Any ideas?

Not familiar with that Printer but check in CMOS and make sure that the Printer Mode is the same as the others and/or set it to ECP+EPP and try.

disable bidirectional communication, you can do this i beleive with xp settings, its in the LPT1 settings in the device manager. Also should be in the HP drivers somewhere.
