I checked my local OD today, that would not sell to me yesterday and the price is still 89.88, even thought they still believe it is a pricing mistake. It is still 89.88 in North Alabama.

Just managed to track one down at OD out by Clear Lake. Far as I know there are none left in Houston, but, for anyone willing to make the drive (or any locals) there are supposedly two at the OD in Beaumont.

Microcenter said they wouldn't match the price and as far as I know no other major retailers here in the Houston area carry this particular model.

BTW, thanks ODguy for putting us on to a really SWEET deal.

Yes, these printers do have a problem feeding paper, they tend to suck down more than 1 sheet at a time when they age a bit. The problem is with their separation pad, you can order a user-installable separation Pad Kit that allows you to install a new separation pad over the old one in a matter of minutes and without having to take the printer in for service from HP at:

http://www.hp.com/support/ljsepkit

I own an 1100Axi, the same printer with the scanner/copier attachment, and besides this one flaw it works great. Hopefully the fix kit (Which I ordered 3, just in case) does the trick.

thanks for the receipt. I bought one Sunday in Atlanta Sunday for 299.00. I guess my plan is to go to OD and see what they'll do about refunding my price to match that receipt, if they won't go for it, I guess I'll go for the full refund as I don't think this is the best $300 laser printer. Any advice on how to deal with them is appreciated.

This is the 1100xi. I found some in Office Depot for $299. Some stores are advertising a $30 rebate for the 1100, I am not sure if it is this model. This is a very good deal. Of course it is awesome at $89, but that was probably a mistake. The other 1100 models are $400.

Just a update, I drove to an office depot that was about 70 miles from me and they had 4 I took 3 for me and my friends. and they rang up at 89.88, this was an extremely hot deal. This was today in North Alabama, I guess they have not fixed this price error.

ok everyone...

the pricing of 89.88 is an error as stated before. some houston store did receive some more of the 1100xi and the system still have them for 89.88... HOWEVER, the district manager had told the store managers to not sale any more of the 1100xi for 89.88.

the $30 rebate is for the 1100se not the 1100xi.

I just wonder if local OD will match the price of another OD store somewhere 1000 miles away in same day?
