I learned after the Palm Vii deal not to call the store. When I went to the OD at Edgebrook, at 10:00am, there was an employee taking one to his car. I asked him if there were any more left and he told me that there were not. Employees bought them all. I wasted a trip because PEOPLE WILL NOT LEARN TO NOT CALL. THEY MESS UP THE DEAL FOR EVERYONE.
Go to the store, if they do not have it, then move on. Ask which stores have in stock, but do it in person. Calling the stores only tips them off and the employees get it.

Junior Creepoo, look for the SKU earlier in this thread.

Apollo, you got the receipt now.

Hobbi - PM me, I would like to chat about this deal in Houston.

"PEOPLE WILL NOT LEARN TO NOT CALL. THEY MESS UP THE DEAL FOR EVERYONE."

That might be true but so doesn't reserving 4.

Daves: You are exactly correct. I learned the hardway...Unfortunately the BItc@ manger here at OD checks the deal pages all day everyday and it is almost impossible to get a deal here locally and to boot 90% of her stuff is on e-bay.......

Herman,
We have all bought more than one HOT DEAL. Wake up.
If I really wanted to hoard the printers, I would still be out trying to get the last one or two in Houston.

I need the phone number for one of the office depots that someone has picked one of these up from. My office depot will pricematch.

Tia,

Phil

Here in far west TX, (el paso) the price is still at $299. My local store has half a dozen of them on the floor. If someone would scan a reciept and post it I would greatly appreciate it.

Dave S ... I'm awake. And I don't want to get into a rant here ...

I am just saying that I have lost deals to employees and lost deals to people who reserve more than they need ... The result is the same ... Like you and the Palm VII ... None left.

When you ask the poster for a personal mesage and then reserve 4 of them ... You are showing the same consideration to others that frustrates you when an employee takes them first. OD guy did turn someone away who wanted 3 so it seems like biting the hand that fed you. I would have been bummed if I lived in Houston.

Just my opinion ... I may be wrong.

David S looks to be a pretty enterprising Anandtecher. Way to maximize the deal! Good for him...

Edited out

The OD receipts are a bit fuzzy and grainy, even after trying to touch them up. Thanks for the effort.

Herman,
Thanks for not thrashing me.
FYI . . . poster did not respond to my PM.

Bruda,
Thanks for the comments . . .

DaveS

Dave, I already responded to your PM and don't expect someone to answer your PMs within a second. I actually have a life outside of my computer as well.

Hi,

Thanks to DaveS and Hooobi :disgust:
I think all OD in Houston are out of stock on the HP.
But while at the store, I manage to pick up couple of good deal:
Pinnacle Studio PCTV Pro(/w remote) price at 49.99 on the shelf, when scanned showed 89.99, I told them about the shelf price and OD manager gladly 😉 gave me the the lower price, plus a grey 3M mousepad for 5.88 then use 15 off coupon... total down to 40.87 + tax...the surprise is OD has $20 MIR on the PCTV Pro, so I got the PCTV pro for $15... not to bad huh?
this will hold me up awhile, until they restock on the HP printer...🙂

Can someone point out where the rebate form is ? I bought my PCTV Pro from OD but never saw a rebate form. If it something that needs to be emailed , let me know and I will PM you my address.

EDIT: Sorry about posting this in an incorrect thread, but I'd like to know before the rebate runs out.
