I have had a heck of a time getting my K80 to scan properly. I've used the help files from HP extensively (including reinstalling, reformatting my harddrive and reinstalling, using the Hotfix from Microsoft, resetting the HP Director to 2000 compatibility mode, reinstalling drivers, etc.) all without getting the thing to work. Yesterday (after reinstalling windows) I reinstalled Adobe Acrobat 6.0. I used the program and at the same time was trying to scan something, and it worked perfectly! I was using Internet explorer and it was not responding. I minimized the windows and found that Adobe acrobat had its user license screen up which always stalls IE. Well, once I closed this screen, the scanner through HP director stopped working! Does anyone have an idea on what is going on or how to correct it? I'm about ready to throw the thing in the garbage and start over (if I had the money). Anyhow, any help would be greatly appreciated.
