Just bought the HP Jornada 548 at Staples for $379. They have it for $450, but you can pricematch it at PCMall for $409 ($399 + $11 overnight shipping) and apply the $40 off $200 coupon code 80208.

Not as good as the parner's deal posted a while back, but at least available to the general public (and lower than I could find anywhere else).

wow that sucks i just bought one from Office Depot last week for about that same price b/c my friend works there :( by the way do you know if there is any GPS software for it?? and it seems like you have to buy all the good software is that true?? i mean i paid 370 now i gotta pay an extra 10 dollars for each piece of software no way! well hopefully someone can answer my question thanks guys

If you are talking about HP's retailer $200 rebate, it is expiring at the end of this month.....so grab one as fast as you can...

I don't know of any GPS software, but MS Street & Trips works quite nicely on it. It's cool to know where the next Jack in the Box or Post Office is when driving in an unknown area. I put all of Southern California map on my Compact Flash card and it only took up 8 MB! Now that's cool!!!

There's enough freeware for Pocket PC on the web now. My friend plays Doom and Quake on his Ipaq :) I don't think my Jornada is fast enough for Quake though hehe.
