HP iPAQ RZ1715

Trying to plug in the above pocket PC to an eBook laptop. It has been autosyncing just fine for months. However, it has suddenly stopped autosycning. I updated Windows with newest dotnet stuff and it worked again for a couple days, but then quit working for no reason.

Windows XP Home recognized the device as a mobile device in My Computer, but the device does not get recognized by Autosync. Of course the warranty is up on the iPaq, and I really don't want to give HP $30 for them to tell me that they think it's a bad cable.

Any ideas?

I doubt its a bad cable. Can you still access the device and explore it?

Yes, I can still browse the device via My Computer.

Just as an update - tried updating to version 4.1 of Autosync software. Now I get an error message:

Not exactly the progress I had hoped for. Going to try going back to 3.8.
