hp hard drive whine dv9030cl notebook

Got a problem with this notebook,when you are on the desktop and the computer is idle no screen saver the computer makes a high pitch annoying whine from the left side of the keyboard underneath .I just purchased this notebook factory refurb with full warranty.So i get off the phone with hp the tell me to update the bios and all that crap did it same problem whine.So they give me a repair ticket and i send it in,i get it back stating that they found a problem with the notebook and updated my bios!!!! What i did they prior to sending it in.Now i know its the hard drive making noise i removed the cover to the drive and listend to it it whines and its annoying now i just got of the phone with them again and they said to do a hard drive self test which i have done already it tested good but that does not mean its good i have had noisy hard drives that have pass diagnostics i am not impressed with hp support at all also she said that it is not an issue with the hard drive or notebook what kind of statement is that urrgh i hate hp so far im just gonna get a new drive off the egg and install it and be done with the run around just had to vent i guess but i dont think i should have to purchase a drive when it is under warranty any ideas on what to do im not gonna play notebook tag with them
