Wow, sweet price. If I hadn't picked up a couple of 660p 1TB drives for $88 ea., (+tax), I'd jump on this. I've got both of mine in RAID-0, and they just basically match up with the EX920 in sequential, but down quite a bit in 4KQD32.

Edit: Think that they'll drop lower? Are they discontinuing the EX920 line, in favor of the EX950, or are they spreading out their tiers? (EX900 being DRAM-less, EX920 having 3200MB/sec sequential read, and EX950 having 3500MB/sec seq. read?)

I didn't think they'd drop much lower than the $130 range (outside of something like an Ebay site-wide coupon code). After various manufacturing contracts ended, they should have already stopped having these made for them, and instead on focusing on their EX950 drive. There's current gen drives that are dangerously close to the price of these "old" drives (like the Corsair MP510, BPX PRO, and Silicon Power P34A80).

I'm not sure if they had too many made, or the manufacturer gave them a "deal they can't refuse" type of thing. How HP has handled this drive since releasing their new model has me confused. Generally when an updated SSD is released, the older model is reduced in price compared to the new one, and the inventory generally runs out within a few months. After that, the price generally goes up because only small sellers have any new stock left. So I will say at this point, I have no dang idea if these drives will continue to fall in price at all, or if they're about to finally sell out.
