HP DVD-RW 100i for ~$50 for those who qualify.

Ok its a lot of work to get this deal.. and I am still working on it.. the initial investment is $410 ( from Pricewatch with Shipping)

Now if you work for retail and sell Hewlett Packard Products you may be eligble to register at http://www.hpinfolab.com which is a re-seller only website.. ( which means you need to work for a retail place that sells HP products.. ie Walgreens , Comp USA , Walmart)

Now on this website you need to take variouse test and make up 30,000 points ( I am up to 18,000 for the first day) in which each day your limited on how many points you can get...

Now once you aquire the 30,000 points , go to the p4p bazaar and go pick the HP DVD-RW 100i and print the first set of $50 cupon then with your 30,000 points buy the $300 rebate. It will take 1-2 biz days to get rebate.

Once you got the rebate in your hands.. Buy the product in either pricewatch or at a local retail store ( usually this product goes for $400 anywhere you go. depending where you get it)

once you got the item.. send out the require paper work to p4p people.. and they will send you 4-7 weeks a check for $350

so if you bought the DVD-RW for $400
with all the rebates and everything the deal comes out to $50....

I think its a good invesment 😉

I will report once I get my 30,000 points and see where I go.

I forgot to say you can get other items as well with the points.. so you can even get some other free stuff like leatherman's and stuff like that..

Ok I did some research about those who work HP..

People who work directly for the company.. are automaticly disqualified..

the only people that are not are those sales reps that go to CompUSA and stuff like that...

Check with your managers.. I think those people that work with HP get better discounts anyhow 😉

That's how I got them to pay me to buy a Jornada 548 and Photosmart 715 digicam 😀

You should definitely edit that title as not everyone is eligible.

Yes, it's a hot deal for those that qualify but you need to add to your topic who this deal is for so those of us who don't qualify don't waste out time clicking on this.

Here is a even hotter deal boyz and girls...

I have contacted HP's Steff Macdonald at P4P and they are considering updating the dvd100i to the 200i ( +r capability)

Comments: I am a retail sales partner and I promote hp products every
single day. Not because they are cheaper and certainly not because they
are spiffed higher than the competing product. I believe in HP as a
company and feel that they will come to a very positive solution for the
customer concerning the DVD+RW issues at hand. I dont think HP
intentionally did this as I do not believe it would be in their best
interest. As a retailer, I do not want to have the old technology dumped
onto me. That is not the idea of P4P to get dated technology in the
hands of sales reps. It is to give them the latest and the greatest so
that they can promote the benefits and value to the customer. They are
the ones buying your product. So i find it very difficult to dump 30000+
points at infolab: something I might add I took a lot of time with.
THese modules were very informative, and goes without saying productive.
I do wish more of my co-workers took it more seriously. I however spent
count! less hours on them and learned much from them. I would find it
hard to believe that the dvd+rw drive ( dvd100I ) after knowing its
limmitations would be offered on this program. the DVD200I will be
available in april and I would expect HP to not only take care of its
customers but also its promoters... IE sales reps across the country. I
would appreciate a personal response from HP on this and not a form
letter. Hp is closely being watched in the public eye and this issue at
hand with the DVD+RW alliance will no - doubt have either a highly
positive outcome for hp which would be a win -win for both parties
developing consumer confidence in your computer products but will also
give me the enthusiasm to continue to promote hp products in the
workplace. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

Hp reply:

Hello $#$#,

Thank you for your thoughtful note and this is not a form letter.

We have forwarded your letter on to the DVD product manager for review.

HP is very much interested in ensuring that current products get into
the hands of their retail sales reps; HP also weighs other factors that
influence the selection of the products that we offer P4P rebate bonuses
for - overall quantity available to the consumer, estimate product life
cycles. The P4P program is updated quarterly and HP offers rebate
bonuses on products relevant to that three-month program.

We thank you however for your input and welcome your valuable comments.

Regards,

HPINFOLAB

I have 33215 points btw . Saving em for a rainy day.
If the dont change the dvd+rw to the 200i ...the jornada 568 is looking very hot right now 🙂

Actually, the reason we're eligible for the HPInfolab program is that we're not TECHNICALLY employees of HP. We're actually employees of a marketing company which is contracted by HP to enter the retail stores and promote their products.

FastAttack...I should have thought about that (the Infolab points) when I saw that OD deal a bit ago. I'm surprised I didn't. Again, good for people who qualify. Good job posting. The easiest way to gain points at Infolab are:

1. Login to the site three times daily [5 points for a login x 3 times daily (limit 3) = 15 points daily]

2. Visit the site on the 1st or 2nd of each month. There is always a new HP Product Challenge (which is an overview of the products featured in the other training). 4000 points once completed.

3. If you have friends at these stores, or other stores that are unaware of this program, refer them to it, and earn 250 points for each referral (limit 5/month). For a Store Rep like myself, this is a great way whenever new employees come into the sotre, or I have to travel to other stores.

I changed the topic a little.. if not suggest a topic please.. sorry for missleading some of you.. but this is a great deal in a sense.. 🙂

this is lame. why not start a f#kkin thread about a free house. all you have to do is work and not get paid for it for about 30 yrs.

The HP is a "+" unit, not a "-" unit. Big difference. "-" media are about $1 or so. "+" media are harder to find and are about $10 each.

I believe there is a whole class action lawsuit coming up coz HP said they decided they WILL NOT convert HP DVD-RW 100i to 200i....

It was supposed to be done using firmware update...
