When you want to game, the strongest specs take priority. However, it's hard to recommend

What's your budget though? I haven't looked at laptops lately, but someone may find you a killer deal.

There aren't a lot of options around your price range but I'd take either of these laptops over your choices:

The one with the 740M has a faster GPU but much slower CPU than the 2nd laptop I linked. Unfortunately, you'd have to move up in price to get a solid CPU + GPU.

The laptops you linked I wouldn't even touch - their CPUs and GPUs are slow.

At about $1,000 you start looking at a decent gaming laptop (no it won't be light, it won't be made out of aluminum, it won't have good battery life), but that extra $300 gets you quad-core Haswell + GTX750M SLI + 1080P screen.

Thanks for the links I kinda like the one with the I7 in it but i have never had good luck with Toshiba I've looked up a review of the Hp d7 and the guy had a lot of trouble playing nfs mostwanted

Of course he had. 7640G is ranked #222. One of the laptops I linked has a 740M in it, ranked #85. You should save up $300 and get that Lenovo. That would get you in the top 50 for GPUs.

You really want something like a good Asus or Sager for gaming IMO. Make sure it has an SSD and a decent GPU.

And moving to the correct forum.
