Hey guys looking for a little help. Im working on a HP Deskjet 3930 Series printer. It does not want to print. The computer sees the printer says its online. Its able to talk to communicate with the printer because it says the toner is low and when i was waiting to print a test page ( one of many ive tried printing) i opened the cover to the printer and it gave me a message that the cover to the printer was open. So i know it communicates with the PC. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the the printer three times already. Un-plugged and plugged back in the USB cable to the PC and Printer. Cycled the printer off and on and no success. I was thinking maybe a service got stopped but the only one i saw that has to do with printing is the print spooler service and that was set on automatic. are there any other services that have to do with printing besides print spooler? any ideas would be a great help thanks. Oh by the way the operating system is windows 2000

In my experience 99 percent of the time printer communication problems are not an issue with the printer. But sometimes that 1 percent comes up. Other than making sure you use a correct driver for your printer and operating system maybe is it possible to try it on another computer to make sure the printer is operating correctly.
