HP Colorado Tape Drive on RedHat 8.0

I have a RedHat machine doing email/web for the company I work for, I need a way of doing backup and tape drives are all I could get.

I have two drives to choose from:
-HP Colorado 5Gb extrenal prallel port ATAPI drive
-HP Colorado T3000 internal floppy interface drive

The computer is a pentium 3 700Mhz with 256mb ram and a 25gb hdd, running redhat linux 8.0.

ftape does not seem to work for the T3000 and i have no clue what so ever about how to make the parallel port one work, ive searched all over the place, there isnt too much info on this issue, so Im getting rather frustrated.

If someone would tell me how to do this, with either drive, or give me a link to a HOW-TO or even just a good linux message board i would really appreciate it.

PLEASE HELP!

Peace,
-Dmitriy
