Amazon has a $50 coupon for purchases of $200.00 or more (good thru Dec 31). Add this to a $50.00 rebate that HP is offering on said burner and add $7+ in shipping and you get $229.00 + $7.36 - $50.00 - $50.00 = $136.36. I put the order in today and expect it between Dec. 29 - Jan 5.

I got one of the 9350i CDRWs from Amazon and the price is amazing. This drive is fast, and completely rock solid. Great software, too. A heckuva bargain, baby!

I agree, the 9100 is the greatest drive in the world! My friend has an Acer and it sucks! HP probably makes the best burners but people dont know that it.

I agree HP makes really good burners. The best? No, that's going too far. Plextor currently owns the market in best burners made. I would put HP just behind them with Yamaha.

Amazon just sent me my "Merry Christmas-and by the way your HP 9510 order is cancelled" note
since the Plextors are also out of stock the 9350 seems like to only way to use the avail coupons. Can I call and whine for the free shipping which I had before they cancelled?

I got myself a 9350i from Staples 2 weeks ago, but may order one from Amazon as a gift for someone. Good deal. :)

BTW, is this made by Sony like HP's other drives?

Thanks, ptbrulz. My old HP 7200 POS was made by Phillips. I heard that some of them might be Plextor's. It seems very similar to the Sony Spressa 8x4x32 that one of my coworkers has.
