HP Cases

Has anyone seen the new cases offered with the new desk top computers made by HP. I see many upfront connections. How do you believe they make those connections. I don't think the motherboard is configured that way.

Are you talking about USB ports and audio ports?

If so, yes most motherboards have connectors on the motherboard to connect the case wires that run to the front of the case so you have USB and audio ports on the front.

Most newer cases have wires for at least USB and audio on the front panel of the case. Several also have firewire and eSATA ports. All these front case connectors can be connected to motherboards that are considered mid priced boards. Of course the high price motherboards have these connectors too.

Looks like multimedia ports - have you seen the panels that come with some sound cards? Machines set up for HTPC, etc. can have lots of multimedia ports: front, back and sideways...

Nah, that's not an unusual number of ports... Seems like a waste of time for HP - when's the last time they were known as a gaming system company?

Is this a trick question?

Since HP forced out Patricia Dunn & Carly Fiorina and replaced them with a real CEO - Mark Hurd?!?!?!

Project History if you're interested... 🙂
