HP battery recall ze2000, dv1000, Compaq V2000, M2000 and nx4800 owners!

The ze2308wm that was on sale at Wal-Mart last black Friday is one of the laptops with the battery pack recall due to a possible internal short causing a burn/fire hazard.

Check the white barcode label on your battery pack. If it starts with L3, proceed with HP recall program and check if your battery pack is affected.

Thanks for the warning. I have two batteries for my dv1000 - both begin with L1. No apparent problem Been using them for over a year.
