HP 3100 Jet Suite causing major problems

I've got an HP 3100 and I think the Jet Suite software that runs it is causing major problems with Win98SE. I get crashes and hangs that are pissing me off. Has anybody else experienced these problems? Could there be an incompatibility issue?

Ive seen this software be a pain on almost any hardware and OS. There are updates on hp's site. You could try that.

I have installed all the patches. This software must just be problematic.

No. I had already installed the updates and patches. Slows my system, causes hangs and crashes.

I must say the 3100 is the biggest POS HP has ever produced.

We used one at a small office once, figuring since there were only a few people working there it would fit perfectly.
How wrong we were, for one thing it wouldnt work when shared across different OS's(different Windows's that is).
And the software that came with it... oh the horrors...

Now we're just using it as a standalone fax, its better that way 🙂
