Family's Nissan 00 Quest SE. Headunit display is a goner. Makes weird noise when you turn on the AC. Left passenger window can't be closed with the driver side control.

other than that it's great :p

Errr.. those should be under warranty if within 3 years.
Did you get it fixed?
If not, you can replace the HU with a MP3 capable unit and sounds like the switch on the driver side needs to be replaced.

Is that the 2.5S, SL, or 2.5 version? And how do you like it overall?

2.5 S

I like it alot. It rides smooth and it accelerates decently. The 3.5 would have been faster, but I'm not 16 anymore so I don't need to race everyone at a stoplight :) Good gas mileage and plenty of space. The stereo plays nice and loud. No complaints at all....well except for a few dents from when my sister drove it :(

Yea I think the switch on the driver side needs replacing. It's only the passenger side window.
It's warranted for 3 years. but it's already past the mileage of about 100k :) so it's out of warranty.

The size of the headunit is a double din. We have a CD changer built in on the bottom. I don't know which Head unit will be compatible with the cd changer on the bottom.
I can do the install myself.

What about the interior? I sat in a 2.5S in the dealership when they first came out and was disgusted with it.
Namely the interior door handles and the trunk release lever cut out.
The dash had hard plastic, but wasn't too offensive.

Awesome, I'm trying to decide between that and the Accord (just the 4 cylinder for the same reasons as you). I'm definetly leaning towards the 2.5S but I'll test drive it this weekend just to make sure. What kind of gas mileage do you get in actuality? And how much did you pay for it? (sorry to hijack the thread but oh well :p )

2001 Nissan Maxima SE 20th Anniversary Edition, Loaded.
~50,000 miles and running just fine.

Gotta lube up the driver side window so it stops squeaking against the rubber and it's about time the brakes were checked. Gonna get the windows tinted as well. :)

Wow, 100k miles in 3 years? Damn that's a lot of driving.
We barely have 100k miles on our '94 Quest. Other than the leaking rear hatch (rubber liner/gasket letting water in), it's built like a rock.

My 97 Sentra runs very well :)

Gets me about 31 MPG. Wonder if there are any simple things I can do to improve that... not that 31 MPG is bad...
