How's the school USC? Is it a good school to dorm in? How is the environment, student life, etc..

Expensive. Not the BEST education, but definitely above average. But you can build great connections. Usually USC Alum's really take care of each other.

I do work in the womens dorms on occasion and I've never been impressed at the quality of the meat.:Q
The only reason to go to USC is for the connections.
There are tons of schools where one can get a better education at a cheaper price, but they have a rich boy network that's very good.
If I were 18 and forced to go there (i.e. UCLA or Pomona reject), I'd join a frat and network the sh!t out of it to get a job in Hollywood.

As for Clemson, it's hot, but it's not quite as humid as it is in Columbia. Few things to clear up:
USC is NOT the "University of Spoiled Children. - Nearly all my friends at USC were on some form of financial aid or scholarship.
The area surrounding USC is low income but NOT 'ghetto' - I hate people asking "HURR are you afraid you're gonna get shot?" No one gets shot or shot at in the area. In fact, violent crime in the area is less than the area surrounding UCLA if I remember the statistics correctly. It doesn't have all the fancy crap like Westwood Village but it's not a"bad" or "threatening" area.
Bruins are more hostile than Trojans. Honestly, I have friends at both schools. The Bruins are hellbent on starting sh!t or otherwise making it known they hate USC. Most Trojans really don't give a crap. Any Bruin who says otherwise is just covering something up, namely their anger at getting whooped the past couple years.
Now that it's out of the way, here are the best majors to consider at USC:
- Theater /Music
- CompSci
- Business / Accounting
- Communications
- Cinema (duh)
- Engineering
- Social Work
Cons to USC:
- Expensive as hell
- Stupid administration
- Nothing REALLY fun to do over there besides 2 crappy bars
- Streets get blocked off a few times a year for events
To give credit, UCLA has a better math and humanities department, their film school is suprisingly good and getting better, and the campus is nicer but a pain to get around in.
*edit: USC also has a better "network." USC grads tend to have better connections post-graduation, and it's not because of money.
Greek system is comparable at both schools, but I think it's more organized at USC.

I haven't gone to either school but I'm intimately familiar with both schools.
UCLA alums are much more successful on average (in all things you'd define success such as more money, prestige, academic distinction).
Now I grant you the USC alums are better organized. They'd have to be in order to stand a chance against UCLA alums. All things being equal, do you honestly believe a 3.0 USC student would win out over a 3.0 UCLA student in a job interview or graduate school admission. LMFAO! That's the best laugh I've had all day!!!
USC does have a good *local* alum network, but lets not get off our enthusiastic rockers, ok? LOL!
What the hell are you talking about, man? How can you be "intimately familiar" with both and not have gone to either?
FWIW, I have three friends that are UCLA graduates going to USC grad programs because they said it's a better school.
Conversely, I know ZERO USC grads that are going to UCLA grad programs.
Also, every USC graduate I know has a good or great job/career, making from 35,000 - 80,000 their first year.
Two out of the five UCLA graduates I know (that aren't in grad school) have jobs that they hate. The others are unemployed.
Edit: Note that I do not think that USC is better or worse than UCLA. I am simply presenting objective evidence that I have witnessed. If you want to keep on your delusional track that UCLA has a better network, I'd like an example.
