How's This Setup?

I'm currently going to upgrade my system (and going to overclock it and later on when I have the money, I'm going to get a watercooling setup) Okay, My current specs are
-Epox 8k7a+
-Crucial 256DDRRAM(PC2100)
-AMD T-Bird 1.4GHz
-(2) IBM Deskstar 60GXP 20GBs (40GBs altogether)
-Hercules GTXP
-Gainward GeForce3
-Klipsch 4.1
The rest shouldn't matter
Anyways, I'm planning to buy the new Asus A7N8X Deluxe (NForce2-based chipset) with most likely a AMD 2100+ T-BredB (with retail HSF for now) and a stick of Corsair XMS DDR400 (PC3200) 256DDRRAM.
I would sell my Epox, Crucial, AMD and Hercules GTXP because I would alread have a new mobo, memory, processor and I would use the onboard sound from the NForce chipset, even if the GTXP is a little better then it. Also in the future, I have another hundred bucks, I'll probably get another stick of Corsair XMS DDR400 (PC3200) 256DDR for a total of 512 and to take advantage of the DualDDR Technology in the motherboard.
Since the motherboard has a serial ATA Raid, and I was thinking about upgrading my HDDs and getting the WD Special Edition's drives, on second though, I think I might wait till later on when there are more Serial ATA drives and then get 2 in the future and connect it through the raid. Would that be a good suggestion because if I get the WD's now, later on I'll be stuck with them, etc, while if later on, I save up and get the Serial ATA drives, I can use them (faster data transfer) + the use of the onboard raid for the serial, it would be really great and all. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
2nd, I read in the AMDMB's review of the motherboard that the space where the processor is placed is very "cramped" or tight and that large HSF would be hard or even impossible to install unless something is moved on the motherboard. A) Is it possible to move something on the motherboard (I would think not) and also I wa thinking about getting the SLK800 HS/F, would that be too big? If anyone that has the motherboard can reply, that would be really g reat.
About the DualDDR Technology, how does it work? In the Asus, it's color-coded, 2 blue slots and 1 black or wh ite slot. The 2 blue slots would be the DualDDR Technology I would think right? Also if possible, cause I read the reviews and I still don't get this, can someone explain to me about the 64-bit DDR Channel, Twin Bank Memory Architecture?
*A few more left
About the onboard sound, with the Dolby-Digital encoding, you NEED Dolby-Digital speakers to take advantage of that right? Does the Klipsch 4.1 have that?
**LAST** question - in order to have really great video quality, not only does the video card have to be superb but the monitor itself too right? I have the Gainward GF3 and a Sony G400... Any opinions?
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance!

About the Corsair XMS PC3200 (256DDRRAM), does it matter whether its ECC or NON-ECC or registered or non-registered with the ASUS A7N8X Deluxe board?

So how will this system fare out for overclocking?

wow...you typed a lot lol :Q

good board, good cpu, bad heatsink (hehe) but if its only being used for now, why not
im not sure how the raid works on nforce2, but with some boards you had to have one sata drive and one ide drive for it to work i think....remmeber...i think lol...besides 1st gen sata isnt all that imo....2nd and 3rd gen will be awesome

im not sure about how cramped the mobo is, but i believe they still have the holes for mcx462 and pal8045 (big heatsinks) so id think slk800 should fit fine (when you get it, whip out a ruler to measure lol)

i think you have to have one stick in blue, one stick in black for dual channel to work (i know it telsl you that in the manual, my memory is just a bit buzzed right now...you can download the manual at www.asus.com)

no idea bout dolby digital question...me no audiophile hehe 😉

sony g400...i think thats a pretty good monitor (unless you wanna go buy a 700-1000 dollar crt lol)

the ram should be nonecc and non registered i think...again its probably in the manual (i tend to skip over things...)

it should be awesoem for ocing 😀

Thanks, well I kind of edited it before so that's why some things might have been confusing. At first, I was thinking about getting the SLK800 + Yi Tech Fan for overclocking and all but then I thought, if I'm only going to have it for a little while before I replace it with my watercooling kit, then you know it's not really worth it. The retail HSF should sufficient until I get the watercooling kit. Should the kit be OUTSIDE or INSIDE *err I think I'm talking about container that holds the distilled water and other things that would be too small. I think I have the Lian-Li 60 (lol it's been awhile so I'm trying to recall what I have hehe)
Thanks!

Thanks!

you can probably stuff everything in there
i think you mean reservoir? ("*err I think I'm talking about container that holds the distilled water ") you can stick that almost anywhere lol

you just have to think about radiator...and the fans...maybe upgrade the 2 front bottom ones and you can mount it there

Well if I do go the watercooling route, would I still need the case fans INSTALLED in the PC or no?

well no not really...you could have one exhaust if you want..
just the couple of fans needed for the rad

are you gonna watercool gpu as well?

I was thinking about watercooling the
-CPU/Processor
-Video Card

Not sure what else I could do though, that's why I'm trying to find some reference websites to do my research.

I'm @ the overclocker.com's site but I can't find any article about basic watercooling, and everything. Would anyone know of any direct link to a great article about the basics of watercooling? I don't want to seem I'm not doing my own research but I seriously can't find any.
