What are you using it for?

First thing I would replace would be the psu

find one that has a single 12v rail

Even the SST-ST56ZF would be better

Less total power but 38 amps on the 12v rail

It's the server for a business that holds lan parties. All the games are installed on it, so it's the NAS for the computers. It also needs to run a few 32 players dedicated game servers. It's also the web server for the business.

Change the power supply
drop the scsi stuff and go sata

Need that much stoarge on there for file sharing?

Also I would look for another case with 120's for intake and out
If its not going to be moved often why not a 4u rackmount case?

if you want plenty of hard drives, you may want to look into the SuperMicro h8dce which has 8 onboard SATA. It has dual x16 pci-e slots and SLI, which you don't seem to really need, but you could game on it if you wanted to. It is under $400 USD usually. Just a suggestion. Everything else looks good.

SCSI is probably overkill and you could put some of that cash for the controller into more space.

PSU, definetely something a little beefier. Especially if you plan on expanding at all.

i think you should run 2 machines instead of 1. the one that does nas and webserver can be a slower single core(opty144) with a raid 5 sata setup and 2x512MB ram and then a dual core(opty165 or 170) for the game server with 1x 15k 36GB scsi hdd with 2x1GB ram(honestly a 7.2k would be fine, but i would put in the 15k because there will be a time when 2 games are trying to change maps at the same time). this will probably cut your price quite a bit.

also get a couple 450W fortrons, whatever cases you want and a decent m/b and you will be set. no reason to ecc and all that stuff when you don't need to. and you can get a u160 scsi card, no raid for ~$30USD

That setup was also planned by me. I did a full setup for the two cases, and the quad cpu is a little cheaper. I consider the quad to be better.

I decided to forget Fortron the day when I ordered them 20 psus and 18 failed within a year. Now it's PC Power & Cooling, Seasonic and Silverstone only for the servers.

Wow, sorry to hear that. I've never heard of them doing that. I've never used them either. I'm running dual Seasonics in my machine, and they have been good to me.
