I wouldn't buy so much memory from Dell - their prices are pretty high compared to aftermarket memory like Crucial. Otherwise, it looks pretty good to me. You could probably get it even cheaper if there are Dell coupons floating around 🙂

Is that before or after the rebate, or is that over? That's pretty good otherwise. I just got a pM1.3, 256MB, 30gig, 32MB, SXGA+ 600M (arrived friday), which came to 1600 shipped -150 rebate = 1450, but that includes a kensington lock. So far, I love it, and it will only get better when the extra 256 of ram I ordered (elsewhere) arives.

I bought the RAM separately, which is Micron for 260. The total
comes out to 1700, no rebates. I was going to get the X1000,
but they don't offer anything higher than wga. How's the wi-fi
function on this. Should I go for a g/b card instead?

I agree. Doesn't sound like a bad deal though.
