Whats the purpose of the shack in the background? Outhouse?

It houses the bore pump (they're not on scheme water, use bore water for the gardens (and the previous owners used it for the horses), and they've got 25,000 gallons of rainwater tanks for drinking/showering/washing).

Dug are kangaroo's ever friendly?

Where they're fed a lot, yes. Usually happens in coastal tourist towns, caravan parks, and sometimes national park campsites.

Not here, and where my folks have previously lived, where they would graze up to the house, but still bolt if try to approach them...

Roo is delicious, incredibly lean and high in protein, with no antibiotics. As it's so lean, you need to cook it quick and hot, or it ends up very dry.

Never, ever. Their range doesn't extend to WA.

Ah gotcha.

I've always wanted to come to AU but I lack the funds/vacation time for awhile to make it a reality 🙁

View from the front verandah of my folks place 😎

EDIT: Apologies for the compression artifacts, on dialup 😱

I thought you lived in Perth Dug?

This picture is just perpetuating the stereotype that all Australians live in the outback. 😛

I do. My folks moved over east a few years back tho.

So is that your parents house? Or do you live in Swan Valley or something?
