Hows the Pioneer DVR-105?

Was offered one for $99 shipped. How is this burner? I know next to nothing about DVD burners. All I want to know is can I backup my DVD's with this?

only bad burns i've ever had were due to my own stupidity and that amounts to 1

of about 50 DVD's burned

this thing has never had a problem burning @ 4x on 4x discs and @ $99 it is a steal

i dont regret getting it for $150 last year at all

Yeah, great drive- never any problems with it and never failed to read anything yet.
Costs a great deal more over here though, more like £130 :-(

Yes it'll work as long as you have the time to encode them and willing to use 2 Disks in many Cases. That's a great price for the Burner (I paid much more) If it's available in quantities could you PM me 😉

Got a message back and he said he has used it alot 80+ burns. Sounds to me like its about wore out? Wouldn't a person be better off buying one brand new for $160. Or is $99 still a good deal?

Sounds like alot to me. Just a guessing but how many burns can a burner go through? I know its all according but if one ain't defective how many can the average of burns be before it kicks the can? About 200-300 maybe(I have no idea)?

Why only 200-300?! I don't see any review that had issues after such a short time. I have burners I easly burner 500-600 on and still work fine (handed down in the family).
