Its like 90% of the other makers.
You can email and you may get a reply in a week .
I got a p35-ds3l with a bad bios.
To fix it they want to charge 45.00 + shipping both ways.
Comes to almost 70.00, board is only 89.00 new.

The debate regarding their 680i boards is the only major blemish I have read about. However, I do own the GA-EX38-DS4 and so far it is serving me well. For the money, it is hard to beat.

The debacle over the 680i boards is a sure indicator of the level of support you're likely to get. If you just stand back and say, 'hey I don't care about that board, I only care about *flavor of the week* board, you're fooling yourselves. Gigabyte will continue to shaft it's customers. Stand up and do what's right. There are plenty of other manufs. out there offering similar features and price points. Screw Gigabyte.

Also, should you have a bad BIOS flash & be unable to recover using their various methods (which does happen, they aren't foolproof) the BIOS chip is soldered to the board so isn't user replaceable (this is also true of Asus) & the whole mobo has to be RMAed.
At least some other companies like abit continue to use socketed, replaceable BIOS chips.

Good Morning all!

Mr. Wolf you probably should look at other manufacturers for better services, but you'll chose what you will.
Regards!

I have an EX38-DS4 - The board refuses to overclock a CPU, or even underclock a CPU. I can overclock memory fine. I've swapped out every component on the computer, and RMA'd the board. The only thing common has been the model of the motherboard (EX38-DS4). I have the same problem with my P35-S3G board.

My 965P-DS3 is still running fine. There is something wrong about these newer Gigabyte boards.

My next board will not be a Gigabyte.
