How's my score

hello,
My specs are listed in my sig, I didn't overclock or anything, and my 3dmark05 score is 8810. Is that any good? Or at least good for my system?

sounds like your score is wrong. SLI systems get less (or about the same) as that. most people with your setup get around 5-6k. did you make a typo?

That is an excellent score. Only a few systems have managed to get that high in 05, so that score is pretty surprising. Also, those systems had TOTL components and were no doubt heavily OCed. Drool...

Nice, um, logic?

hehe... sorry, brain freeze, don't know what I was thinking... 😱

Edit: Fixed...

ahhh, right you all are. As odd as that was, because when I first installed xp, im pretty sure it was 8810, I ran it again and it was 5800. So, sorry to say the least.

Coincedence i think not. Why dont you run it again and link to the webpage at futuremark.

Also now that you KNOW your card is actually a video card instead of typing on the internet and "playing" 3dMark go play some real games and form your own opinion about your card.

My 9600 Pro (latest drivers) and 2500+ XP Mobile just got owned to the tune of 1385 when running 3dmark05. I feel so violated.....

Meh. I only get 3650 or so with a 16x1/6 6800NU.

What I'd like to know is why my scores are so low with a 6800NU that has identical specs to a 6800GT save for the ram speed - does 250mhz ram really make that much of a difference in '05?

i heard the 3d mark really isnt that accurate from mik3y its pretty much to test if you card is working corretly.

w00t: 3dmark is never "accurate". But it works for what it is intended to do - benchmarking. A similarly spec'd system vs a similarly spec'd system will tend to give you results that can be compared.
