warm?! pfff guinness extra cold is what it's about, and fish and chips 😀

its very busy in the run up to christmas with all the shoppers, then over the christmas day/boxing day holidays it's dead.....everything closes......

BTW....England is infamous for its warm beer......Guinness is Irish

Cold, wet and windy. If you go to the main shopping areas, average speed is about 0.5 mph on the pavement [sidewalk], it's even slower on the roads.

Hehe. It's not all bad - plenty to go and see and do. Plenty of decent shopping. Plenty of food to cater for all tastes - expensive haute cuisine, Italian, French, Japanese, Indian, Chinese, Turkish. Plenty of pubs, clubs and wine bars. Plenty of excellent theatre and opera. Plenty of historic sites - 'Buck house', Westminster, St Paul's, many many more. Plenty of art - the national gallery, tate modern. Museums - British Museum, Imperial War museum, Natural history museum, Science museum.

You won't be short of things to go and see or do. And the weather isn't that bad... all the time.

what about november guys.. my brother is leaving for an all paid vacation (paid by my parents and I) for 2 weeks.. he is leaving for London on the 8th..

It's ALWAYS cold and rainy in London. Well, overcast and foggy anyway. 🙂

When I first went to London, I arrived on New Year's Eve. Going down to Trafalgar Square celebrations was cool. Kind of like the british version of the Times Square event. Everything was closed the next day, but it was still totally awesome. One thing I did notice, it seemed to get dark really early, like 4 pm. But that added a kind of surreal feeling to things. Cold and rainy, but it was awesome. Want to go back really soon.

how about late jan? I am going there from jan 18 to the 25th. round trip tix = 350$, hotel is only 66pounds/night for triple in Kensington.
