How's Dirt 3?

I got a voucher for it with my GPU and pretty much have no interest in it but will give it a shot if you guys think it's fun. Should i play it or sell it?

I have two of these vouchers and I'm in the same boat, but its pretty hard to sell these, I guess you need to scan it too to send to the person you sell it to cause the company wants proof or something... not sure.

This is a PM I got from someone that was interested in one copy:

"Will you send me a scan of the card as well? AMD asks for it for proof."

It's good. Doesn't have the same focus on rally racing that Dirt 1 did, but it does have plenty of content, and is certainly good for the $0 price tag.

As someone who purchased it off the shelf (well, from Amazon) I can say if you've never played anything in the Dirt series, it's totally worth it.

IMO, it's a sideways step from Dirt 2 (which is excellent in its own right).
The Gymkana(sp) events are a bit frustrating ( but can be passed over as necessary.)

Some gorgeous graphics and easy to control physics make it stand out.

Excellent with a G27 otherwise dump it.
It does have good GFX and is a good PC game/port though.
I tried it with a KB and it was terrible.

Dirt3 is the worst of the series. The Gymkhana parts are just retarded. I stopped playing when i hit the first mandatory Gymkhana event and could not place high enough to continue. To be honest, i did not try that hard...i hate those Gymkhana challenges.

I played a bit of DiRT2, but honestly never had any desire to finish or get through much of it. Did some MP with friends a bit, since a few of us had gotten it for free with video cards.

What i loved was GRID...I want a GRID2.

I assume those of you who play(ed) DiRT3 liked DiRT2?

Thanks all, looks like its not my cup of tea so I'll get rid of it. Seems like it'd play weird on a keyboard and I'm not really into racing games.
