Hi,
I was wondering how CoD runs for you lot.
For some reason, i could do all the way upto the last british mission with everything on max, but for the last british, and upto half-way through the russians (where im upto), i have to drop everything to medium/normal, which looks atrocious.
Running at 1280x1024 Res bty.
Is it my CPU (XP1800), thats holding my 9700pro back? Cos according to FiringSquad, i should be getting 70+FPS.

I have a similar system (XP2000, 9800NP, neither overclocked), but I am only running at 1024x768 with everything maxed. I am still in the American campaign, but my FPS does drop into the 40-50 range during the larger battles.

It's running fine for me except for one thing. In single Player when I lean around a corner the movement is very jerky, however, in MP it's as smooth as a babies @ss. I am also running at 1280 x 1024 all settings maxed out on a P4 3.0 and 9800Pro.

I'm running the CAT 3.1's at the moment and this problem/bug has been present in all of the driver releases from 3.7 upwards...

Must be my system then.
Ive just completed it, and i`ll probably replay it once ive upgraded (A64,mmmm......)

Is it just me whos noticed these too odd things in game;
1) Even when a tank is blown up, the driver pops out, then falls to the side of the tank. I noticed it especially in the end credits, when some guy unloads a round into the control areas of the tank, another drops a grendade in, then closes the top hatch, they then run. The tank explodes, but a driver still pops out, then falls downthe side of the tank. Strange or what?
2) Theres a tutorial in ladders in the training level, but apart from that, i cannot recall another instance where ladders are used!?

p4 2.53 GHZ, 512MB PC2700 DDR, Ti4200 128MB, everything stock.

I run the game at 1280x1024 and it runs without a hickup.

On number 2, IIRC (finished the game a few weeks ago) weren't their ladders in the solo mission where you have to take out the power plant?

Well, I know there are ladders on some of the multiplayer maps -- in the POW Camp level, you have to use the ladders to get up to the towers.

Maybe that's why they were part of the tutorial?

I'm not having a problem anywhere. I'm in the middle of the third time on, I can't get out of here alive. In the begining of the Russian level, I am trying to get past the cart to the car. I getting my @ss smoked. But no probolem with the rig.
I'm running a XP 2700 with a ATI 9000 Pro, at 1024 x 768.

Not a problem. I am having a problem with Halo crashing. I just got the Windows patch and I hope it stops the software conflicts. My 9000 Pro has 128 DDR. Try lowering your Res., but you shouln't have a problem. Your rig is fast enough to run any game.

Yeah... Halo's a turd... but what do you expect from Microsoft? Wait for Halo SP3 to get all the bugs worked out
